Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Gemhubx — the dropshipping platform for fine jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones.

Getting Started

What is Gemhubx?

Gemhubx connects your Shopify store to a curated network of wholesale jewelry and gemstone suppliers. You browse the catalog, import products to your store, and Gemhubx handles fulfillment when orders come in — no inventory required.

How do I install the app?

Install Gemhubx from the Shopify App Store. After clicking "Install," you'll be redirected through Shopify's OAuth flow and your store will be connected automatically. No manual configuration is needed.

How much does Gemhubx cost?

Gemhubx is currently free to install and use. You pay only the wholesale cost of the products you fulfill through the platform. Contact [email protected] for enterprise pricing inquiries.

Products & Importing

Where do the products come from?

Gemhubx sources inventory from vetted wholesale suppliers including QGold and GND. Products include fine jewelry (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets), loose diamonds, gemstones, and watches.

How do I import a product to my Shopify store?

Browse the catalog, click "Add to Import List" on any product, then go to your Import List. Set your markup percentage or retail price, choose a category, and click "Push to Shopify." The product — including all images, variants, and descriptions — will appear in your Shopify Products within seconds.

Can I import the same product twice?

No. Gemhubx checks for existing imports before pushing to Shopify. If you try to re-import a product that is already in your store, it will be skipped and you'll be notified.

Can I edit the product title and description before importing?

Yes. In the Import List you can edit the title, tags, type, and description before pushing to Shopify. Changes only affect your store — the original supplier listing is unchanged.

Orders & Fulfillment

What happens when a customer places an order?

Gemhubx receives the order via the Shopify orders/create webhook. The order appears in your Orders dashboard. You review and route it to the supplier for fulfillment. Once the supplier ships, tracking information is pushed back to your Shopify order automatically.

How long does fulfillment take?

Fulfillment times vary by supplier and product. Most in-stock items ship within 2–5 business days. Made-to-order and custom pieces may take longer. Estimated shipping times are shown on each product detail page.

How do I pay for supplier orders?

Gemhubx uses a prepaid Wallet. To add funds, contact [email protected] and our team will arrange a top-up. Supplier order costs are deducted from your balance at the time of fulfillment. Your full transaction history is available under Wallet → Payment History.

Pricing & Billing

How does markup work?

When you import a product you set a markup percentage (e.g. 100%) or enter a fixed retail price. The recommended retail price is pre-filled based on standard industry margins, but you can override it freely. Markup rules can also be set globally under Settings.

Are there any transaction fees?

Gemhubx does not charge per-transaction fees beyond the supplier's wholesale cost. The platform is free to use — you keep the difference between the wholesale price and your retail price.

Privacy & Data

How is my customers' data handled?

Gemhubx complies fully with Shopify's GDPR requirements. Customer data is only used to process and fulfill orders. You can submit a data request, redact customer data, or trigger a full shop redact at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens to my data when I uninstall the app?

When you uninstall Gemhubx, an app/uninstalled webhook triggers immediately. Your shop's access token is revoked and your store record is deactivated. Residual data is cleared within the timeframe specified in our Privacy Policy.
